Leg Daddy 4 Inch Light Oak Finished Wood Sofa Leg, Set of 2
Leg Daddy 4" Medium Oak Finish Distresse... $26.49
Height: 4 in. Top Width: 3 in. x 1-3/4 in. Bottom Width: 2-3/8 in. x 1-3/4 in. Special Note: Unless noted in the product name, our sofa legs come installed with 5/16" hanger bolts. This is the standard size for most furniture manufactured in the United States. If you have any questions about the hanger bolt size in your furniture please do not hesitate to contact us before placing your order.   Our sofa legs are not just for the sofa. They also fit well and look well on chairs, ottomans, and other furniture items.  Your entire sofa, chair, ottoman, and other furniture pieces rest on the leg. If the leg is loose or otherwise defective, the result can be an uncomfortable use of the furniture. Defective legs can lead to structural damage to the furniture item because of uneven stress loads being placed on the frame. It is important, not only for appearance's sake but also for the well-being of your furniture to keep the legs in good repair.  Even if your legs are still in good condition, you may wish to add new ones for function or appearance. Purchasing longer legs than are presently installed will raise the height of the furniture item from the floor. Of course, shorter legs will lower the height. An easy cost-effective way to alter the style of your furniture is with the installation of new legs. There are many styles, colors, and finishes from which to choose.  The leg is attached to the furniture item with a 5/16" hanger bolt. Attachment and removal of the leg are easy. The leg is simply turned to the right to install and to the left to remove. This wooden leg is finished in a light oak finish. The wood is strong and durable and is equipped with a plastic glide on the bottom of the leg. This leg features a distressed finish. It is neither defective nor damaged but has purposely been given a distressed appearance to simulate the look of older wood. This look is much sought after by decorators who desire a unique much-used appearance. Please note that the finish was applied after the distressing. A T-Nut is what the hanger bolt on this leg screws into the furniture item onto which the leg is being installed. Over time T-Nuts can drop off. This often happens during a move. They can also become damaged as the furniture is moved for cleaning. If the T-Nut is missing or defective, the hanger bolt leg will not be installed properly.  Sometimes, due to trauma suffered by the leg and original T-Nut, the entire installation site for the leg may be so damaged that there is no way to install a new T-Nut. This is a situation where a T-Plate may be used to a good advantage. The T-Plate is large enough to cover the entire installation site. It attaches with four wood screws to the sofa. In the middle of the T-Plate is the threaded nut into which the hanger bolt installs. The entire installation is strong, durable, secure, and safe.  Take a look at the installation sites for your legs. Defective or missing T-Nuts can usually be detected by a visual examination. As an added check, try wiggling your old leg while it is installed to determine if the T-Nut is loose. If you find missing or defective T-Nuts with your present legs, simply order replacements. Even if you find no defective T-Nuts, it is not a bad idea to keep some T-Nuts on hand for future leg problems.  Please be advised that there are three sizes of Hanger Bolts. Please carefully check the hanger bolt size on your present leg to ensure that your new legs will be compatible. Both your present leg and your new leg need to have the same size hanger bolt. The common or standard Hanger Bolt size is 5/16". If your furniture item was manufactured in the United States, your Hanger Bolt is probably the 5/16" size. If your furniture is European / Italian, your Hanger Bolt is probably the Metric (M10) 10mm size. But, it may be our new M8 size. The M8 size hanger bolt is practically identical to the 5/16" hanger bolt in diameter, but the threading on the M8 is finer. Please see the Hanger Bolt Illustrations under "More Views" for a comparison view of the 5/16" Hanger Bolt, 10mm M10 Hanger Bolt, and the new 8mm M8 Hanger Bolt. Please note how to use a common Bic pen for size comparison. If you are uncertain which size Hanger Bolt you need, please call for assistance.   Please note that wood grows in a forest in the form of trees; it is not manufactured in a factory like plastic. As a result, every wooden chair leg is unique, with naturally occurring variations in color, texture, and grain pattern. The color and variation of the grain is one of the distinguishing features of wood and makes it highly sought after as a material for sofa legs and fine furniture. Because wood is a natural material, each couch leg may differ slightly from the photographic representation shown on the website. Application: These hanger bolts can be used to retrofit wooden sofa legs to fit your 1/4-20 socket or the M-8 T-Nut. The coarse wood threads screw into the wooden sofa leg, and the fine machine threads are 1/4-20 size for easy installation into your furniture via a 1/4-20 T-Nut. If your T-Nut is damaged or missing, but the installation site itself is still sound, a replacement T-Nut would enable the installation. Leg Daddy TruFitLeg FRIGG 4
Leg Daddy TruFitLeg FRIGG 4" Dark Finish... from $33.87 $49.99
Finally,  a universal sofa leg!  A true revolution in furniture legs courtesy of Leg Daddy. Our line up of TruFitLegs is designed to fit ANY sofa or furniture that already uses a hanger bolt attachment. IKEA, Natuzzi, or other furniture made around the world including here in the USA, our legs will fit on your hanger bolt equipped furniture, guaranteed. Getting new furniture? Don't buy all new legs... just swap them from the old to the new, saving you time and money! The Importance of Good Sofa Legs | Your entire sofa, couch, chair, ottoman, and other furniture pieces rest on the leg. If the leg is loose or defective, the result can be an uncomfortable use of the furniture or structural damage to the furniture item because of uneven stress loads being placed on the frame. It is important, not only for appearance's sake but also for the well being of your furniture to keep the legs in good repair. The Leg Daddy 4" Dark Finish Square Tapered Wooden Sofa Leg | This leg is attached to the furniture item with a hanger bolt. Attachment and removal of the legs is easy. This wooden leg is beautifully finished in a dark, almost cheery, finish which highlights the grain beautifully. The wood is strong and durable. Variation in Color and Grain of Wood Furniture Legs | Please note that wood is a naturally sourced material, with naturally-occurring variations in color, texture, and grain pattern. As a result, each couch leg may differ slightly from the photograph shown on the website. Installation | Installation is easy and best with another person helping you. Turn the sofa onto its back to allow easy access to the legs. Do not tilt the sofa backward with the legs still on the ground, because this can damage the bolt holes. Lift it cleanly off of the ground before laying it down. Grasp the old leg and turn (counterclockwise) to unscrew the leg. Please note, the bolts are supposed to be part of the leg, not the sofa. If the bolt stayed on your sofa when you removed the leg, you’ll need some pliers to remove that bolt. Pick Correct Size Bolt | The TruFitLeg™ comes with a selection of bolts, select the size that fits correctly, set the extra bolts aside. You will need a Cross-Tip or Phillips-head screwdriver. Insert the Bolt | Insert the correct bolt through the bottom of each leg and screw it into the sofa with a Philips (cross tip) screwdriver. (The leg bottom has the wider hole.) All the TruFitLeg™ are designed to facilitate their installation with provided Phillips head bolts. Tighten Sofa Leg to your Sofa | Carefully thread the bolts of new legs into the sofa frame and tighten until snug with your Philips screwdriver. Turn the couch over and set it back up for use. Leg Daddy 5-3/4
Leg Daddy 5-3/4" Walnut Tapered Pyramid ... from $16.87
HEIGHT: 5-3/4" (APPROX. 6" WITH INCLUDED GLIDE) TOP WIDTH: 3" BOTTOM WIDTH: 1-1/2" Our sofa legs are not just for sofas! Ottomans, chairs, and benches can so easily be updated and coordinated. Reimagine your rooms! Unless noted in the product name, our sofa legs come installed with 5/16" hanger bolts. This is the standard size for most furniture manufactured in the United States. We do offer an in-house service option to remove the 5/16" bolt and change it to an M8 or M10 bolt, which are common sizes found in European furniture such as IKEA or Natuzzi. Attachment and removal of the leg is easy. The leg is simply turned to the right to install and to the left to remove. This tapered pyramid wood leg has a lustrous walnut finish. The wood is strong and durable and is equipped with a plastic glide on the bottom of the leg. Please be advised that there are three sizes of Hanger Bolts. Please carefully check the hanger bolt size on your present leg to assure that your new legs will be compatible. Both your present leg and your new leg need to have the same size hanger bolt. The common or standard Hanger Bolt size is 5/16". If your furniture item was manufactured in the United States, your Hanger Bolt is probably the 5/16" size. If your furniture is European / Italian, your Hanger Bolt is probably the Metric (M10) 10mm size (the thickest). But, it may be our new M8 size. The M8 size hanger bolt is practically identical to the 5/16" hanger bolt in diameter, but the threading on the M8 is finer. Please see the Hanger Bolt Illustration for a comparison view of the 5/16" Hanger Bolt, 10mm M10 Hanger Bolt, and the new 8mm M8 Hanger Bolt. Please note how to use a common Bic pen for size comparison. If you are uncertain which size Hanger Bolt you need, please call for assistance.
